Connections Beyond the Classroom

Intern. Interview. Shadow. Get a taste of a career.

Connections Beyond the Classroom (CBC) brings students together with current and alumni Menlo parents to provide meaningful exposure to career, community service, and academic options.

A Full Network

Using an extensive database, students can search for internships or connect with people working in a field of interest. Faculty use the database to bring in parent speakers who have expertise in or an interesting viewpoint of a topic covered in class.

Preparing for a Career

Resume workshops and practice interview sessions help prepare students to enter the working world.

All CBC programs are designed in partnership with Menlo’s faculty and/or administration. Some programs, such as student internships and resume workshops, are led by CBC parent volunteers while other programs, such as Senior Projects, are led by Menlo faculty and supported by CBC volunteers.
